Maruska attended St. Francis School Birkirkara (Primary) and St. Theresa Junior Lyceum. She graduated as a Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta in November 2010. Dr. Debono was admitted to the Maltese Bar in February 2011. Maruska also graduated in M.A. in Law from the University of Malta in November 2013. She has been working in the litigation sector since she was admitted to the Maltese Bar. Maruska is currently serving as Chairperson of the Industrial Tribunal and Commissioner for Justice.
